Nice an quiet, lovely service! Came with my family and we all loved it. Even got to pick our own lobster to eat! Reccomended, thanks!
Le chef est un personnage haut en couleur avec une aisance dans l'art de la parole. Il fait tout... cuisine... bar service... tout est fait maison avec des bons produits. On passe un bon moment. Pensez à réserver, places limitées .
Although I don't speak a lot of French the owner could understand me and even made a menu in English (sign language helps too ) The dishes were tasty, colorful and not too much. We sat outside in a kind of bamboo like hut, that's definitely a recommendation.
We came here on a cycling trip and had the set menu for €30 as it was off season so limited. The menu was only one choice and my girlfriend is a vegetarian. This was not a problem though, the chef was very accommodating and made an alternative. He made us feel very welcome and was so patient to let my girlfriend chat away in French to him whilst we were there. Such a nice place in a pretty part of Normandy!
This is our third visit to l’Eucalyptus over the years, we’ve always included a stop here during our stays in the region. The €30 menu is excellent value for money. The choice is right (one starter amongst three, one main amongst three and one of the two desserts). Food is seasonal and delicious. The lobster naturally comes with an additional charge at market rate. On our recent visit, amongst the 4 adults in our party we chose the lobster for two (650g) fish and duck. Starters included a layered andouille sausage, apple and camembert in a filo pastry, delicious! The moule cassolet and salmon were fantastic as well. Kir apéretifs are included in the menu. We finished it off with Crème brûlée and coupe Normandy (apple sorbet with calvados) superb! We added an extra half dozen oysters for our starter along with 2 soft drinks. Our total bill was €204. Thank you for a wonderful dinner. High quality locally sourced food wonderfully prepared. The owner runs an efficient kitchen and service opening for two hours in the evening. Call before to reserve a table. Don’t miss this little gem! The focus is on good food wonderfully prepared. You won’t be disappointed!
